The Birchman Group was founded in the UK in 2003 by Ian Wyrley-Birch and Niel Schoeman.
Having been a part of the industry for many years, Ian and Niel wanted to start a business that focused on value management and offered customers the opportunity to get the most value from their IT investments. This focus has remained a core value of Birchman throughout our history, right up to the present day.
One of our first major moves was acquiring Plaut Consulting, based in Spain and the UK. Plaut was the first development partner with SAP, dating back to the early 1980s. Acquiring a company whose history can be traced back to the inception of SAP, ensured Birchman were aligned with SAP as a ERP solution partner.
Since day one Birchman have been pushing boundaries across the globe. This drive saw a rapid expansion of operations with offices opening in Latin America, Australia and the Middle East, and staff numbers growing to 750+ employees in the first 10 years.
The past 5 years has seen us channel our focus into our UK operations. From selling Birchman Australia to SMS Technology, and Birchman Spain to Viseo (France), we were able to streamline and consolidate our approach.
Birchman joined the United VARs as the member for the UK and as such have become one of a handful of Global SAP Platinum Partners. United VARs comprises of 70 companies covering 100+ countries and enables Birchman to help our customer globally with like minded local expertise.
As we approach our 20th anniversary, our commitment to empowering customers with digital transformation and solutions that enable them to meet business objectives, goals and priorities, remains a foundational priority.
